ESL/Migrant Program

by Alicia Jurado

October 18, 2007

Our goal in the ESL program is to help our second language learners learn the English language at their own pace.  It is important that the children feel comfortable and at ease in the ESL classroom.  Using hands on and oral activities as well as one on one tutoring we strive to make the process of mastering the English language  an enjoyable part of their learning experience.  Many of our Migrant students are already fluent English speakers. We work with them to help them make their transition to our school from another school as easy as possible.  We also help the student get caught up with any missed school work during their move. Our children are our number one priority and we do all we can to make their memories of their early school years good ones.
