Rules of My Library
1. All students grades 1-5 will use the markers to find a book.
2. Choose your book quickly with no visiting.
3. Use your library voice at all times.
4. Misbehavior will result in returning to your class without a book.
5. Only 2 books may be checked out at a time. Read both, return both before you check out 2 more.
6. Each student will be allowed to check out 1 fiction and 1 non-fiction.
7. To check out a book:
A. Line up single file at the checkout desk.
B. Give your book/s to the person at the checkout desk and say your name clearly and plainly.
C. Show your AR bookmark, folder, etc. to the person at checkout desk.
D. Be sure to look at the due date in the back of your book and return your book on time.
8. If you return your book late, there will be a fine of 5 cents a day.
9. Lost or damaged books must be paid for.
Saturday Reading
1. All Library rules are to be followed as on all other checkout days in the Steed Media Center.
2. All students / parents are to use markers to locate books on the shelves.
3. Each book is to be checked out at the circulation desk before the student reads it.
4. After at student has read their book and tested on it, the book must be returned to the check-in cart before the student gets another book.
5. No more than 2 books are to be in a student's possession at any given time.
6. No checkouts are allowed out of the check-in cart.
Please know that these rules are very important. Our Library must be kept in order for the students, the staff, the teachers and all who use it.
