Dear Parents and Students,
I hope you had a great summer. I had a wonderful time traveling and redecorating my house and scrapbooking. I can't believe it is already time for another year of school! I am excited about all the new tools we have for learning in our classroom this year. I have a lot of fun things planned.
Fourth graders will take Reading, Math and a Writing test. We will work on topics, main ideas, and sentence and paragraph construction for the writing test. We will learn comprehension skills for the reading test and logic and reasoning skills for the math test.
Third graders will take Reading and Math tests. We will work on comprehension skills for the reading test. We will learn to make graphic organizers so that we will remember what we have read. Third graders will also work on logic and reasoning skills for math.
I am really looking forward to seeing my fourth graders who will be coming back to me. I am also looking forward to meeting my new third grade students. Make sure your child has plenty of rest, does his/her homework and reading assignments, and praise them often for the effort they put forth.
