A Journey to Success

Dyslexia/Intervention

by Monica Spangler

September 04, 2007

Welcome back for another great year. I will be the reading interventionist for Childress Elementary.   Also, I will be working with the Dyslexia students.  I am excited about my new position and look forward to working with your children.

Dyslexia/Intervention Classroom Rules

1. Listen carefully2. Follow directions

3. Work quietly. Do not disturb others who are working.

4. Respect others. Be kind with your words and actions.

5. Respect school and personal property

6. Work and play safely

If a student breaks a rule, the following consequences will occur:

1. First time student breaks rule: Verbal warning to student
2. Second time student breaks rule: Name on board
3. Third time student breaks rule: One checkmark, call parents
4. Fourth time student breaks rule: Two checkmarks: send to principal.

**If student is severally disruptive, he or she will be sent immediately to the principal.

Included in my Discipline Plan are ways to positively reinforce students who behave appropriately.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Spangler
