There's a fun-filled
schedule planned for the 2008-09 CHS Art Department. We're excited
that this is our third year in a NEW room in the Fine Arts
department at the high school campus. Come visit us and see our new
facilities! Students that are enrolled in Art will be able to
participate in many projects, exhibits and activities INCLUDING
using our new Apple laptops.
Teaching Art here at Childress High School is a great experience. My husband is Kyle Vannoy (Math Dept.) that also teaches here at CHS. We have been teaching in the CISD system for 16 years. Both of us are Childress High School alumni and are happily raising our 3 sons in our hometown Childress - Andy (19), Alex (11) & Aric (9). I earned a bachelor's degree in Art certified to teach Secondary Education in the fields of Art, History and Special Education from Lubbock Christian University in 1986.
Our family worships at the Childress Church of Christ and are involved in the Childress County 4-H club and a variety of community organizations. I am a member of TEEA and CUW clubs in Childress.
With your involvement and support, we'll have an awesome year for 2008-09 in Art.
