On the Track: The senior was a big part of the Bobcats' win at the Tulia Relays, grabbing gold medals in the triple jump (42 feet, 4½ inches) and 300-meter hurdles (40.10 seconds), while also winning a silver in the high jump (5-10) and 110 hurdles (15.48).
Coach Phillip Rhodes: "Pete's just a hard worker. He was our MVP last year, and he's already ahead of where he was at this point last season. He also plays baseball, so he's just a great athlete."
Daniel: "It was my best time in the 300 hurdles so far, so I was happy with that. It was my first time to jump this season, because I was hurt at the other meets and couldn't jump, and I was surprised at how well I did."
Favorite Athlete: Suns point guard Steve Nash.
Track Highlight: "Going to regionals last year."
