Riding on the fire truck

Trip to the Fire Station

During the week of October 8 - 11, first grade studied fire prevention.  The students enjoyed working in a fire safety workbook provided by generous Childress businesses.

The highlight of the week was visiting the Childress Fire Station on Thursday, October 11.  The students learned what to do during a fire in their home and what to do if their clothes catch on fire.  The students met the fire fighters, Firepup and Smokey the Bear.  They got to ride the fire truck through downtown and back to school.
