Come join our journey in 3rd grade!
As we travel through the year, I hope you are filled with adventure and enjoyment. Our reading takes us to interesting places as well as introducing us to many fascinating people. You will learn reading elements while preparing for the Reading TAKS. You will be ready to blow the top off the TAKS in March through our preparation!
Math is such a fun subject in 3rd grade. You learn problem solving skills as well as learn math concepts throughout the year. Our morning is filled with Sharon Wells Math and in the afternoon we review our math learning with Saxon Math. Be prepared to learn multiplication facts through 12!
This year we will continue with Nancy Larson Science. It is an interactive program that takes us into space and lands us on our Earth. Projects and research awaits for those who truly enjoy science learning. We will work through three weeks of science and then move into three weeks of Social Studies. I love Social Studies and what it teaches us about our world and how we affect everything around us.
I am looking forward to meeting each of you and getting to know you and your families. We will work as a team to complete a successful journey!
