Well 8th Graders, looks like we have made it to the halfway point of the year without losing too many of you on this wild ride!
Parents, we have completed the novel, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and viewed the movie. Your children have learned about irony, simile, metaphor, foreshadowing, personification and much, much more. They have kept dialectical journals and learned to analyze what they read. Some of them realized they really like to read; imagine that!
I encourage you to continue to question your student about what is going on in his or her classes at school. Be involved; help them study! If you are like me, you just might learn something from them!
As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My conference period is from 10:00-10:45 daily.
