Reaching for the Stars in Reading

Hello....Welcome to my web page. My name is Melody Wadley and I teach 8th grade Reading and two classes of 7th grade Reading. This is my 25th year to teach and my 19th year at Childress Junior High. I graduated in 1980 from Altus High School and in 1984 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I have two wonderful kids....Ryan is a senior this year and MacKenzie is an 8th grader. I married my best friend, Randy, in 1985.
I set high expectations for my students. I expect them to be responsible, respectful and reliable. I hope to have 100% success rate on TAKS this year just like last year. I know we can do it; we'll work very hard to achieve that goal!
I believe that learning can be fun. We can have a lot of fun but still learn at the same time.
