Technology Minimum Purchasing Standards

Technology Minimum Purchasing Standards

 

All new computers must meet the following minimal configurations.

 

Pentium IV  2.0Ghz 256mb RAM, 80 gb hdd, 52x CDROM with multimedia, 16mb Video, Gigabit ethernet card, 17” LCD monitor, mouse, keyboard, 

 

Laptop computers must meet the following minimal configurations.

 

Pentium IV CPU, 2.0Ghz, 60gb hdd, CDCROM with multimedia, Gigabit ethernet card, wireless card, 256 mb RAM, 13” Active LCD

 

Each computer should be purchased with a Gigabit network card, either wired or wireless.

 

Printers are to be Hewlett-Packard, Xerox, or Ricoh and must be Windows and Mac compatible.

 

Servers are to be the following:

         

          Pentium IV, 2.6gb scsi hd, 2 gb RAM, Gigabit ethernet

 

Network Switches are to be:

 

          Gigabit and/or Fiber switches managed and unmanageable

 

Operating Software:

 

          Windows XP or Mac OS X
