Welcome to the CJHS Library!
The "King of Rock and Roll", Elvis Presley, once said:
“When I was a child, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was the hero of the comic book. I saw movies, and I was the hero in the movie. So every dream I have ever dreamed has come true a thousand times.”
This is true in many ways because you can live any dream by reading a good book. You can go anywhere or do anything through reading, for it has no limits to your imagination.
This year's theme at the CJHS Library is "Read Like a Rock Star".
My name is Carolyn Vela, and this is my first year as the Childress Junior High librarian. I have worked here for almost 5 years, and I am excited about this new & wonderful opportunity!
The CJHS library has a great selection of books in all areas from Newbery Award winners to Texas History. We have a book that will interest you! Library hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
