The Childress ISD Board of Trustees approved the creation of a 50-member Citizens Advisory Committee made up of community members and district staff to study district facility needs and provide recommendations for a possible bond election on Nov. 3.

Working in partnership with district staff and administration, the committee met five times over two months to review the district's facilities assessments, public school finance and financial data to develop the 2026 bond proposal.

Based on the committee's work and recommendations, the Board called for a bond election at its Aug. 10 meeting.

Reminder--CURRENT football season ticket holders may renew their seats through TONIGHT, Sunday, July 26. All ticketing is online through Hometown Ticketing, and current ticket holders received a code in their email for renewal. NEW season ticket sales will begin Wednesday, July 29 (previously scheduled for Monday, July 27).

Football parents, we will have a quick parent meeting Sunday evening (Aug. 2nd) in the high school cafeteria at 7 pm. We will go over expectations & our Wet Bulb Globe Temperature plan! We would love to have you there, but attendance does not affect your athletes participation!
